Ruby has joined The Royal Court, and there's only one of him.
Ruby was never like the other boys. They teased him for his quiet ways, and most of all for his name. Then came his birthday, under a full moon, and one joke too many. That night the boy became the beast, and Ruby was forever changed.
Now he lives quietly in the countryside. By day he's a scholar, studying to master what he can't cure. When the moon rises, he roams the hillsides and hunts only what he raises himself. Respected in the kingdom. Feared in the outer cities. And no one has laughed at his name since.
